Oh July! What beautiful weather you’ve brought us. This month also brought me a lot of new goodies to try! Here are some of my favourties:
1. Gluten Free Hobnobs!
They’re here, they’re here! The Hobnobs are here! They are as delicious as you think they are! They’re pretty expensive, I’m not going to lie but as a one off tasty treat, they’re amazing! I picked these up from Waitrose. You can also get them in plain!
2. Honest Burger.
Always in my favourites is Honest Burger. This time we checked out the new one on Tottenham Court Road. Classic Order: Honest Burger with a GF bun, fries and a cheeky side of onion rings to share with the BF. No need to eat again for a week!
3. Pizza Express Margherita Pizza.
The new pizza express bases maybe like gold dust to find, but once you get one…you’ll never want to buy anything else again. These bases are delicious, I say base because who wants a cheese and tomato pizza. I like to pimp mine up with pepperoni or with spinach and an egg like the one above. They are really thin, and have a really soft texture like proper restaurant style!
4. Cannelloni.
These delightful cannelloni came directly from the allergy and free from show 2016, from Honest Eats!
Allergy and Free From Show London 2016 | A {Gorgeously} Gluten Free Review
A really simple recipe! My boyfriend made a a white sauce, I made a garlic tomato sauce. Sauté garlic and a whole big bag of spinach, chop and add into a bowl with a tub of ricotta, a beaten egg and chilli and season. Stuff the cannelloni. Add the tomato sauce to the base of a dish. Add the cannelloni in one layer, then top with the white sauce and some mozzarella. Bake for about 30 minutes at 200°C.
5. Whole Foods Picnic!
Whole Foods is an amazing place to spend £20 each on a picnic. The salad boxes are done by weight and damn those dolmades are heavy! Shared among friends we also have the delightful organic blue corn chips and the best guac I’ve ever tasted. Dessert were these tasty peanut blondies from the Free From Bakehouse.
6. Home made stir fry.
There is nothing nicer than a tasty wholesome homemade dinner, I used my new Kikkomans Tamari gluten free soy sauce, to make this tasty sweet chilli chicken noodle bowl. Made with a whole lotta leftover veggies, chillies, lemons and soy sauce.
7. Deliciously Ella Brunch.
The sausages and eggs don’t feature in Deliciously Ella’s cook book but these gorgeous homemade baked beans, and hash browns do. Super easy and super tasty. These feature in Ella’s first cookbook.
8. Afternoon Tea at the Palace
The Historic Palaces have a great selection of gluten free cakes available. I enjoyed this gorgeous carrot cake at Kensington Palace after a Sunday stroll around the palace and gardens.
9. Nutri-brex
Who doesn’t love Nutri-brex? They’re wholesome, healthy and tasty! And…who knew what tasty things you could do with them…pancakes, banana bread, granola. Gone are the days of “Weetabix”, milk and sugar.
