I love breakfast! It’s my favourite meal of the day!
I made these breakfast bars as something quick and easy ‘grab and go’ on busy mornings (and lunches and afternoon snacks) I’m warning you now…they’re delicious.
Not to blow my own trumpet or anything because I did make up the recipe myself…
I don’t have a good picture of them because I ate them all before I realised….oooops.
Here is the recipe anyway…
100g of four grain porridge
Preheat the oven to 140 degrees celsius. Add all the ingredients to the pan, and allow to cook for around 10 minutes until all the ingredients are well mixed, and the butter and syrup is distributed throughout. Pop into a tin and bake for 20-25 minutes.
This recipe is completely adaptable and you just pop in whatever you have….apple? Maple syrup? Literally anything!
